libdb-dev software package provides Berkeley Database Libraries [development], you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install libdb-dev
libdb-dev is installed in your system.
Make ensure the libdb-dev package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep libdb-dev *
You will get with libdb-dev package name, version, architecture and description in a table
